- 継承語コース：ご家庭で日本語を話されている生徒対象。授業は日本のテキスト及び教科書を使い、日本語のみで行われます。ご家庭での宿題等のサポートが必要です。
- 第二外国語コース：すべての生徒対象。テキストは主に英語で書かれている物を使用。授業は英語、日本語両方で行います。
Our Heritage Japanese Courses are taught entirely in Japanese and are intended for students from Japanese-speaking households. Classes for students learning Japanese as a Foreign Language (JFL) may include instruction in English, depending on students’ abilities and objectives.

継承語コースHeritage Japanese Courses
K, G1-G8 classes
(Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.)–$400
授業はすべて日本語のみで行われます。Kクラスではひらがなの読み書き、日本語で話すこと、聞くことを学びます。アクティビティーやクラフトをふんだんに使い、楽しく日本語を学習します。Gクラスでは日本の教科書、ドリルを使いカタカナ、漢字、文章の書き方、読み方などを学びます。クラス内での発表などを通して、話す力、聞く力もつけていきます。継承語コースではご家庭での宿題等のサポートが必須です。両親または保護者のうち最低一人が日本語の読み書き、会話を問題なく出来る必要があります。教科書等は学費に含まれています。
These classes are taught entirely in
Japanese. Lessons include fun yet challenging activities including learning Hiragana in K classes along with reading,
writing, speaking and listening skills in G classes. Note that parents are expected to help their children with
homework in these courses and must speak, read and write Japanese fluently. Textbooks and materials are
included.

第2外国語コース Japanese as a Foreign Language (JFL) Courses
JSA-C, Youth A-C classes
(Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.)–$400
第２外国語コースは日本語を第２外国語として学ぶコースです。日本語と英語の両方で授業を行います。ＪＳコースは小学生、YOUTHクラスは、中学生、高校生が対象です。教科書等は学費に含まれています。
These classes teach Japanese as a foreign language to children and youths and may include instruction in English. JS classes for G1-G6, Youth classes for G7-G12. Textbooks and materials are included.

Adult Classes (For students 18 years old and older)
Adult1-3 classes
(Thursday or Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.)–$525
Survival Japanese for Beginners
(Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.)–$200 per term
*important: ADULT1 class and Survival Japanese for Biginners-Term1,2,3 are IN-PERSON lessons on Fridays. ADULT2 AND ADULT3 classes are ON-LINE lessons on Thursdays for 2024-2025 school year.
Adult-1,2 &3 classes provide systematic Japanese instruction using the Minna no Nihongo series of textbooks and Dekiru Nihongo. They focus on enabling students to communicate in Japanese with clear, proper pronunciation.
Survival Japanese for Biginners-Term1,2,3 provide learning useful phrases in daily life.
Textbooks and materials are included.
*Minimum class size is 7 students. Classes may not be offered if this threshold is not met.
